Dinomites FAQ’s

What is Dinomites?

Dinomites is a specialized soccer curriculum that is designed as an introduction to soccer based upon storytelling and age appropriate soccer games and activities.

Why did CSC decide to switch from the USA trainer format to the Dinomites parent-run format?

As we learned about the new Dinomites program, we saw the closer connection between our first time young soccer player and their parents was a key component in the growth and positive development of a young player. Our kids will have an experienced that is more fun when run with the assistance of their parents.

How many weeks is the Peanuts season under the Dinomites curriculum?

Peanuts will be a 6 week soccer experience designed to start after school starts and end before the colder weather get here. This will give our youngest players the optimal weather for soccer fun!

What is a uniform kit? Do I need to buy one?

The Dinomites uniform kit is an important part of the curriculum. It is required to purchase a kit to participate however, the kit can be used for multiple seasons as long as it still fits.  The Dinomites kit consists of: (1) Dinomites jersey, (1) pair of soccer shorts, (1) pair of soccer socks, (1) pair of soccer shin guards and most importantly a Dinomites ball.

Why is the Dinomites ball so important?

The soccer drills and activities are designed around the specific markings on the Dinomites ball.  Your child will enjoy learning to dribble, turn, kick and stop the ball in a more fun and creative way.  This approach makes ball control easily accessible to a new preschool player.

What is the cost breakdown for participation in the new Peanuts program?

The cost is $65 and the "Dino First timer" uniform & equipment kit is $45 which can be used for multiple seasons. This represents a significant cost savings from our prior Peanut soccer program.

What is an Activity Helper (AH)? If I sign up to volunteer, what would I have to do? Do I need to know anything about soccer?

An activity helper is a parent who helps to organize a group of peanut players in the session story and games. The activity helper will not be left alone to “figure it out.” We will have a point person there every week and also each group of Peanuts will have more than one activity helper. Not to mention “the playbook.” Each AH will have their very own Dinomites Playbook filled with knowledge and game plans for each session. The best part is… there is no need for any background in soccer to be an amazing AH.
