Cranford Soccer Club

Helping foster the enhancement and development of Soccer for Cranford residents of all ages and abilities

Overview

The Cranford Soccer Club is excited to announce it’s new TOPSoccer Pilot Program beginning in the Spring of 2019.

TOPSoccer is a community based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any child with special needs. The emphasis of this program is on development, training, and meaningful participation rather than on competition. The goal is to enable young athletes with disabilities to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage, and self-esteem, through the joy and excitement of playing soccer.

The Pilot Program will be available to any Cranford child age 7-13 that has a physical or mental disability. Each child will be teamed up with one to two TOPSoccer buddies. These buddies are volunteers (12 years and older) from the community. Buddies participate with TOPSoccer players to enable player participation.

The TOPSoccer Pilot program will be free for Cranford residents and will run on Saturdays from 11am – 11:50am for 5 weeks beginning April 27th and ending June 1st (Excludes Memorial Day Weekend).

More information regarding the TopSoccer program can be found in US Youth Soccer’s Parent Guide.
