Prior to tryouts, your player should be registered to a CSC account (if not already) – you may register at www.cranfordsoccer.com (see ‘REGISTER’ button top right).

Tryouts are open to all Cranford Middle School girls and boys who will be in the 7th and 8th grades for the 2023-2024 academic year.  If you go to a private school, you are invited to register for the team that would be your “home” school if you attended Cranford public schools.   

Tryout Schedule:
HAS BOYS June 12 and 13 -- 3:15pm – 4:30pm at HAS
HAS GIRLS June 15 – 3:15pm - 4:30pm at HAS*
OAS GIRLS and BOYS June 14 and June 15 -- 3:15pm – 4:30 pm at OAS

PLEASE BRING YOUR SOCCER GEAR TO SCHOOL  -Socks, cleats, shin guards, water, & ball.

• Tryouts are two days. Coaches select the teams based on the two day tryout. *HAS Girls will conduct only one tryout due to schedule constraints
• One girls team and one boys team will be formed from each middle school based on tryouts.

• Cranford Middle School coaches make the final team selections.
• Season runs from September 2023 through the end of October 2023. There are generally two games and two practices per week.
• Parents provide transportation to and from away games.
• There will be cuts. This is a try out process. As a result, athletes can, and are encouraged to, timely register for and continue to play on their Intercounty/ Travel/Club team – even if they make the Middle School Team. If you do not timely register for your regular Intercounty/Travel/Club team you risk being unable to play.
• Coaches will notify the players of their status promptly upon completion of tryouts. Next, you will receive an email from Cranford Soccer Club informing you that your child has secured a spot on a team. You will be instructed to log into your account in order to accept or reject your roster spot and pay the season fee ($325.00).
